I am a loner. I like to go on long walks in the middle of the night. I also love the internet. I enjoy solving puzzles. I am a big time tv series and movie buff and I don't care if a movie is in an unfamiliar language. I believe I have a good memory and I am pretty good with numbers. I am lucky to have grown up in a world where for me, right things have fallen into right places most of the times.
Education and Work
I graduated with an Integrated MSc degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
I have completed three full time internships so far. In summer of 2011, I interned with Thinklink which is a young startup providing services in the Supply Chain domain. In summer of 2012, I interned with the Computational Intelligence Group, Innovation Labs at Tata Consultancy Services where I helped build an assortment analysis tool for retail chain management. My most fruitful summer was in 2013, when I worked at American Express in the Risk and Information management division. I worked with the decision sciences team and my project was to improve existing models for risk prediction on customer credit defaults. I was offered a job at the successful completion of my internship and I have accepted it for now. I will start my professional career at American Express as a Management Trainee in July 2014.
